Children and young people are naturally curious and performing arts training enables
them to learn more about themselves, their life and those around them. Training
in the performing arts provides students with transferable skills that are vital
in later life. In a very short space of time parents tell us that they have noticed
improved confidence, better expression and enhanced communication skills.

LightsDown Theatre School aims to improve our students on a personal level as well
as performers. We work hard to improve our students' self-discipline, respect and
confidence in a professional environment that takes pride in each and every student.

Our teachers are professional Musical Theatre performers, many of whom still work
in the industry and all have extensive teaching experience. Our teachers, together
with our specialist curriculum (that leads to qualifications with Trinity/Guildhall),
are what makes us so special; we seek the very best tutors and only employ those
who not only demonstrate the required subject knowledge, but also have a proven
desire and passion for teaching.
